some pens i made from:
first: cocobolo
second: pau amerello
third: spalted oak
fouth: purpleheart
fifth: ebony
sixth: wenge

the finish for all of the above is ca with MANY coats of beeswax(a special mixture i make from local bees).

All very nice pens! The spalted oak is definitely my favorite as far as the coloring goes. Great work!

Love the ebony pen !! It has a nice figure and the color makes it look mysterious. Great work.

I love the spalted Oak. Cocobolo gave me an alergic reaction so i don’t use it anymore. The dust gave me a Poison Ivy type rash.

karson boy, do i EVER know what you mean!!!!! not only did i (k)not know about the cocobolo effect, but before i had figured it out, i had spread the dust ALL OVER the place. took weeks before it went away…..
