Built-ins in the master closet. Nothing crazy as far as technique…just lots of plywood. We decided to go with white since it is a tight space and the white really brightens it up. Built them all off site before we closed on the house (from measurements I got when we trespassed in one weekend!) and fortunately they all fit. Ripped up the baseboards and carpet, built a 2×4 frame (leveled with shims) and then assembled everything in on top of them.
You can’t see it in these photos, but they go all the way to the ceiling and there’s crown moulding at the top. The gradient on the drawers was my wife’s idea—we really like it. The undershelf lights are all LED strips—it’s so nice to have good light in each compartment and no shadows. They’re all wired to the same circuit as the overhead light, so one switch on the wall does it all.
I don’t have a good picture, but there have since been adjustable shelves put in all the cubbies (they hadn’t had enough time to dry yet when I took this photo).
Thanks for looking.
