Project is a dresser built during a class with Mike Pekovich (executive art director, Fine Woodworking) taught at the Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking for six days in August. (I’ll review the class separately; just know here that it and Mike were great.)
Frame and panel construction, white oak frame and butternut panels and drawer fronts. Dovetail drawers (through, and half-blind for fronts). Tapered legs, eased and curved top. Lots of double tenons; Mike calls the design “bombproof” and I agree.
Finished with Zinnser Bulls-Eye dewaxed shellac and paste wax; smooth to the touch.
