I made this Sewing Machine cabinet for daughter, from a picture that I found

on the internet. She wanted her portable sewing machine to fit into

the top, but there was not enough to room to fit it in the top.

so I made the left side drawers with only the fronts and two doors

that opened on the side so she could store her Portable in there.

Another thing that I had to change where the wheels, the original machine had steel

wheels that where pretty well shot and I did not want to use then for fear that they might

leave rust marks if used on carpeting, so I got some Polyolefin wheels rated for 300 Lbs.

Building it out of solid 4/4 oak with a 5/4 top made it a lot heaver than the original

cabinet that was built out of thin pine and plywood so I put two bars with 1/4 inch

bolts on the bottom so it can be moved in two pieces and easily assembled

nice! When I first looked at the left side I thought it looked like you had used wall paneling and I was wondering “What thaaa heck???”

Then the next pic shows the DOORS , and you were immediately exonerated ! Very nice re-do on the cabinet !
