I never made an Urn before, so a friend from work was in need recently and I just felt compelled to make a pair of boxes from Lacewood and Curly Maple.

There is a mechanical closure lock on the bottom, and I was so tempted to add just a lilttle more, lol.

It was a pretty simple build and would make one of these again.

Finished with two coats of oil and several coats of stain wipe on poly.

Yeah.. for something as serious as an urn, you really SHOULDN’T be putting in 15 hidden steps to get it open !
