In our wood shop class, we had to make anything we wanted out of scap wood. So I decided to create a tool box for my dad because he usually keeps his tools in a drawer in the kitchen. To make it I designed and drafted it on paper then I used a miter saw for the exact pieces on it like the base, sides and rod. I used a ban saw to cut the pentagon faces out. I used a planer, edger and table saw to smooth the faces on everything and get it to 90 degrees. I used a sander for all the pieces to make them smooth. I also used a table saw to cut the width of the sides and base. Some problems I ran into making this project was getting the pieces to all fit together. My measurements were a little off making this. If I were to redo this project I would have taken more time to figure out the right measurements and I would have taken more time to do it. I used golden oak for the stain and put 1 cost of poly on.

As a dad, I can tell you he will love it. Very useful and lots more mobile than carrying that pesky kitchen drawer with you out to the garage. LOL Nice job.
