Hall table with wine rack.
The top is probably Acacia. I say probably because I have no recollection of what I purchased at the Lumber yard. Its was 108 degrees that day and a 1.5 hour drive each way in a car with no AC turned my brain into mush.
The base was a thrift shop find; I paid pretty close to what I would have had to pay at the metal yard to purchase the raw stock.
This was almost more metal working that wood working as the existing base was an inche too wide which necessitated me sectioning it and welding back together.
Work and Finish Schedule
- Cut to dimension
- Router Sled to Level
- Sand to 500 grit
- 2 coats BLO
- Many coats wipe-one poly (Top and bottom)
- Top wet sanded at 2,000 grit
- waxed and polished
