Rock-a-plane

Project by Herbiej posted 160 days ago 406 views 3 times favorited 12 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is the third rocker plane that I have built. The other two were for other peoples grand children. I finally got around to building one for my Great grand son. The plane is made from Eastern red cedar, and the base and rockers are cypress. Finished with shellac.

Are the rockers steam bent or laminations or just cut out of a single piece? Great looking by the way. These rockers really look like fun projects.

Scotsman, I found a rotted discarded version on a trash pile. I brought it home and made a pattern with a few mods.

Great job, I make rocking Motorcycles. Always wanted to try a plane. Have a train rocker also. Like the “out of the box” rockers best. Keep up the great work
