This is a fun bandsaw box to make. Made from Curly Maple and the lid is hand carved. What I like about it is you can stand it up or lay it down (works either way).

Very nice box. Unique design.

What kind of finnish is on this?

Keep up the great work.

Beautiful box. Appears to be a little smaller than your last.

Scrapy, I cheat, I usually spray all my finishes since I usually build bigger projects. I use M.L.Campbell precatalyzed lacquer. (usually a dull rub sheen) and rub it out to the sheen I want for the particular project.

This is sure nice!
Ii made my first one of these shell boxes about twenty years ago.I think it was featured in Wood magazine. They are a bit of work getting everything to line up,but a great project.
Well done.

Beautiful box. I especially like it because I’m a Shell retiree.
