Ive been wanting to explore modern furniture styles.I seen one of these in finewoodworking and I loved it.I made some changes in the design. Its made from mahogany, lacewood and pine. The mahogany came from a board I bought from a man that was 35in wide and 20 ft long, now thats a big board!!To date I fill that this is some of my finest work. Not to toot my own horn but man I love the drawer pulls I made. I really enjoyed making this. Now lets just hope it sell fast!!!Thank you all for letting me share my work,I really hope you all like this.

Fantastic! Excellent! How did you make the drawer pulls? Lathe? They are very nice…toot
It’s o.k. to toot your horn, they are great. How did you luck up and come across a 35 in wide X 20ft long board of mahogany? Those are extinct aren’t they?

Very nice and I prefer it to the one in FW. How much would you expect to get for it?

Wonderful job Phil. I bet it does sell fast.
What a find on the board. How thick was it? Just wanting to know how many Bd Ft you had to work with. Did you use it all for the table?

Very impressive and professional. Visual balance is excellent. Would you provide a little more detail on the pulls?

That is a gorgeous piece of work. I believe it’s based on Garrett Hack’s huntboard. Simply wonderful looking.

It’s based on this one from Fine Woodworking but like I said earlier I prefer Phil’s version of it. The original seems a little too ‘busy’ for my tastes and the legs look too spindly. More details here

Nice work! I like modern. Congratulations, you should be proud! 35 inches wide? 20 feet long? Wow. How did you ever transport and store it? Cutting into that must have given you pause.

What a gorgeous piece of furniture! Do you ever sleep? How many projects do you work on at once? And, what is your estimate on how long it took you to make this?
