It’s a beautiful box, Tatiana, and very nicely carved.

Very well done! Either you’ve been very busy lately with your carving, or you’re posting some past projects. Whatever the case, your work is very clean and meticulous.

I am more impressed with you every day. I love the pillowed look to the case. If you lived anywhere near Anaheim, CA I’d work for you for free, just to learn.

I bought a box very much like this in Crimea back in ‘97 – from I guy I met on the steps of some touristy place who marked me for an American and offered to sell me some (worthless but interesting Soviet) coins. I bought a coin or two – mentioned that I liked carved items and he offered to meet me back at the same place in 2 hours. I was going to be around, so I agreed and bought the box. I think my x-wife has it.

Yours is more crisply done!
