This is the first of two clocks I plan to make for my new office. It is made from quartersawn white oak and finished with Transtint golden brown dye, General Finishes antique walnut gel stain and 3 coats of satin Arm-R-Seal. I think I’m going to like making clocks. Already have some Christmas ideas in mind.

That’s a very nice clock!

Is it your original design or a plan from somewhere?

Please tell us more.

I assume the hole in the back is to set the clock (electronic movement)?

The gentle curves really set this clock apart! Nice!

It’s not from a plan. I basically found some I liked online and tried to deconstruct them to figure out how to put something similar together. The hole in the back is too small to set the movement. One plan I did look at had a hole in the back so I added one really to just make it easier to get the back off when needed.

Very nice!
The proportions are just right.
I agree with the previous poster in that the gentle curves really make this clock!
Thanks for sharing.

Very well done. I like the styling and dye treatment.

Great looking clock! I like the curved sides, and the overall design of it!

I really like your clock. I’m a huge fan of mission furniture. I especially like you clock face. Where did you get it?

Thanks. I ordered the clock face online. Here’s the site- http://clockprints.zenfolio.com/. I had to cut it down a bit to make it more rectangular since it was a square.
