I made these two bread boards as Christmas gifts to friends in 2013. One was with walnut and the other maple. They were inspired by the Bulthaup bread board. But I wasn’t going to pay $200 for it so I made it myself. I like the simplicity of the design, simple box joint.

Great design and well constructed. I’m sure your friends will enjoy them.

Gorgeous! I love the idea of a drawer for the crumb tray. A lot of designs have the top of the breadboard recessed into the top of the crumb tray. With your design you can store it vertically and everything stays together. I need to make a wedding gift and had planned to make a serving tray, a full size cutting board and 8 sandwich sized boards. Now I think I will add a breadboard like this as well. Thank you for sharing your project.
