I was requested by another Jock member to post this project.

I picked a Bottle cutting kit at a garage sale one day. So I experimented, & made this candy jar out of an Apple Cider jug. The base of it is glued on with epoxy.

One Day when puttering around with my lathe, I decided to make a cover for it. I found a scrap of Pine 2×6 in my scrap bin, & proceeded to make a cover. Then I decided to install a music box movement inside.

The whole turning project was designed on the lathe. That’s what’s fun about wood turning. You can mount a piece of wood on it, & play it by ear.

Imagine my surprise while going through over 200 thumbnails of wood turnings this morniing to see this out of the ordinary candy jar with your name on it. I could’nt sleep which happens to me a lot so I end up surfing and I love that website. Stephen Hatcher. wow, now there’s something I’d love to do. Any way thanks for posting it, you’re very talented, but jeeze with 74 good years on us you’ve got the experience. Thanks buddy. jockmike2
