As someone who is just finishing up their first basic spoon carving. I have just realized I still have a long way to go!

(Jeff)....I really hate to say what I use on them but here goes.
I use 500 degree temp. engine clear paint from the local auto store. It comes in a spray can and dries to the touch in about 15 mins.
The stuff is great and makes for a beautiful finish on small projects.
(Dan)....It takes about 25 to 30 hrs to finish….fun little projects.

500 degree temp…so is it food save? Beautiful spoon love the finish also. When you carve do you use power carvers or just hand power? Maybe a tutorial would clear things up.
