I built these shower benches as part of a work weekend project at a Christian family camp in Berkley Ontario. The showers are in need of repairs (see the walls). The pre existing benches were made out of pine and badly rotted. These are made out of 2×4 red cedar and finished with mineral oil. I designed a step to keep your feet dry while getting dress. It was a big hit with the campers. Fun to built and I have now found a new cedar supplier. I would like to mention “Wellbeck “ saw mill, thank you Bonnie and Pete for you help this weekend.
This was a pro bono deal but very rewarding.
Thanks for looking.

It’s nice to do some work for a good cause. The payback may not be monetary, but it’s there nonetheless.
Good idea to add a step to keep the feet dry.

Great idea with the addition of the step. The cedar should last much longer than the pine. They look very stout too.
