It’s not a diamond but it’s from the heart. This ring is for my girlfriend. She probably deserves diamonds, but I deserve work or a job too, and since that isn’t happening what can you do. LOL. My original plan was to make a ring with walnut edges and a bubinga center. I drilled the hole and it chipped the walnut so I took the damaged ring over to the spindle sander and went at it. It sort of just worked it’s way to shape. After I had the ring I wanted to do something else, so I did the heart inlays. The ring is Bubinga and the hearts are Maple.
She is more then pleased.

Fantastic! Now that is some small inlay work!
Great save on the center section. I too have found that walnut likes to chip on the edge of the ring.
