Two-tone Wooden Barrette

Project by Scrollicious posted 146 days ago 360 views 3 times favorited 9 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I made this barrette with reclaimed oak, and a layer of poplar in the middle. I think it turned out beautiful! I used E6000 to glue on the back. It is a “spring-clip” style metal barrette.

Nice idea. How does the clasp work?

My wife uses barrets all the time, maybe I can put something like this together for her.

Keep it up.

Thanks.

Very nice, I have a house full of girls and could use some of those. Could you post a pic of the back?

THANKS

Tom

OK, I added a couple more photos, showing the barrette from different angles.

The clasp just clicks together when you put your hair between the curved bars.

Thanks for all the comments.

THank You for the new pictures. I am going to have to pick up some of these clips and give it a try.
