I wanted to build an adjustable table for my drill press and Wagner Safe-T- Planer. I do not own a thickness planer but have used this planer for years and it has worked well for me for small projects. Also I am a piano technician and have used it for piano rebuilding work. The table is a new addition and very easy to build. It works very nice and I can now use it for both my woodworking and piano work.

See the video for the build and also I demonstrate on some pieces how it works.

Hello Jack

Yes the planer is still available, I have seen it in the loca woodwork magazine.

I have always wondered how it worked, your video shows it all.
No doubt it works even better with your adjustable table!!

Very nice job on the table and the video. I wondered how well it would work and that video sure showed it well. I’m thinking we could use a setup like that the take down some rough wood we get out in the desert in Arizona.

Does that SafeT plane have carbide cutters?

Thanks, this planer consists of a balanced, die-cast aluminum body with three removable, high-speed steel blades.

Really nice tool upgrade!
I have one of those safety planers my brother gave me but I have never used it!
