A little out of the ordinary for me—I made a pen from cast material rather than wood:
This is Alumilite cast by Curtis Seebeck (www.turntex.com); I did a segmentation from red, white and blue
cast blanks. I paint the inside of the blanks Testor’s blue after drilling.
The hardware is a Chrome Baron Rollerball.

Darryl,
So far, I’ve used medium CA for my all segmentations. It works well. I hold the pieces together by hand for about 30 seconds, then give it a shot of accelerant. No failures yet.
Wayne,
Alumilite turns really nicely; easier than some woods, about like turning a stabilized wood. Makes nice long shavings. I give it a thumbs up.
