Our dog Mowgli likes it, and I like not having food and water bowls pushed all over the kitchen (and, having water spilled all over my freshly refinished hardwood floors! grrr!) Win-win!

I need to take more photos as I go…but it’s pretty simple. Made of pine because I have a lot of it here and this was made on a whim one evening. Jigsawed the holes for the dishes. Base (legs and aprons) were all joined with dowels. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Eventually painted it with Annie Sloan “emperor red” at my son’s insistence, then finished the chalk paint with a few coats of Minwax polycrylic (good combo).

Have an awesome day!

Very nice job.

One suggestion, there is a guy who sells these at a local craft show. He paints little doggy feet in black in the corners. That little touch really makes them stand out. One 1/2 round for the foot, three 1/4 rounds for the toes. Just a thought in case anyone was looking to make more.
