This has got to be the most popular crib plan on the market!! Everybody that I know that has built a crib has built this one. Pretty easy project from Rockler. Well if you know how to read. I miss read/didn’t pay attention to the leg dimensions and they wound up being an INCH wider than the plan called for. I have no idea how that happened but I didn’t catch it till after the hardware hole had been drilled in the center. So ripping an inch off really wasn’t an option. The end result is that the front and back gates are a half an inch further apart which actually worked out perfect since my wife made the crib bumpers and that fills in the gap. I was initially worried about the baby slipping down into the wider gap but not anymore. Anyway I need to pay more attention to the plans and what I actually have cut. Ya know….Measure Twice!!!
On the inlays…I didn’t go with the plans for a pyramid. Instead I just cut out squares of Lace wood. Call me lazy but I like the end result.
