I added this walkway to my garage after my wife opened the door one fine spring day and got buried by a load of melting snow. It was pretty basic construction. The only unique aspect was the spindles. I mortised them into the top and bottom rails. The spindles had some special meaning to me and probably few others. My Dad turned them with the intent of using them on his deck. Cancer got him before he was able to complete that job.

I’m sure your dad is proud to see them put to good use. When I saw that I supposed you were tired of getting wet when you were unlocking the door. Never dreamed it might be your wife getting a snow job! ;-) Nice job.

N0 apartment just an attic. When the kids moved out they left about half there stuff for me to store. It’s been a chore getting them to take any of their stuff.

I sure understand that Bob. When we decided to move here to the Islands from Washington, I told the kids I was having a very large yard sale and perhaps they would wish to come…might find something they like. And I still shipped over a 40’ container!

Yeah Larry, I’m thinking SWMBO wouldn’t go for a yard sale with all the kids stuff, my stuff…no problem.
