a prototype I designed from sketchup and made out of particle board, consists of four stackable shelves cut from a single 4×8x3/4 sheet. measures 10’’ deep, 31” of (inside) shelf width, and 12” (inside) shelf height
i plan on making another out of oak stock next time… and also thinking about adding a backboard as the single stick in the back doesn’t exactly function as well when you need to stack books vertically (for space efficiency)

nice design. i like the narrow spaces in between the modules.

is it finished at all? I’m wondering how a finishing process might work to enhance the look and durability of particle board. there was someone here who made something out of OSB. His sanding and finishing process really brought it to life. I bet PB could really sparkle with the right treatment.

Good concept I like the fact that you could configure in multiple ways. Will be waiting to see the finish and the oak ones.
