Walnut/Ash, Ash/Walnut trays

I made these two trays as a Christams present for my sister-in-law. I used the “yin and yang” approach by reversing the placement of Ash and Walnut in each. They are all solid wood – no veneer. Not wanting the undersides to be boring, I cut three shallow dadoes and inlaid “rails” across the width of the trays.

kevmann, thanks so much for posting these. My sister just gave me a verbal order this past weekend for one of these for my niece. Yours look awesome and I like the “yin and yang” effect.
