I made this simple featherboard because I only have one that I bought from woodcraft, and I needed another one for the vertical hold down for my fence on my saw to keep the wood from rising….so I made one.

I cut the first two slots the wrong way, but didn’t care enough as it’s for my shop. I promised I wouldn’t hide my imperfections LOL and this is a big one.

Meh, it’s something to look at.

Also, I know it’s on the wrong side of my fence. That is where I keep it when i’m not using it.

The main thing is if it works or not.
Pretty isn’t all that important.
Thanks for sharing.

Looks like it will Work Pretty Good.

Also, I know it’s on the wrong side of my fence.
Which side of the Fence is the Wrong side , Depends on what your doing at the time. Unless your talking Politics then I think Both sides are Wrong most of the time. :)

I promise it is not as “ugly” as a kick back into the palm of your hand. If it works, it works. Glad you took the time to post.

Ya’ll are great. thanks alot for posting. I mean by “wrong side of the fence” is that the “tines” of the featherboard are facing the wrong way because it’s not on the blade side of my fence. I guess you all already know that, but apparently I still feel the need to clarify. :)

Hey Dude,

You ought to see some of the things I’ve made so far that were supposed to halfway decent. :)
