My mother came to me and asked me to build her a cabinet with furniture grade plywood, but she didn’t need it all fancy. She wanted a sturdy cabinet with the drawers you see in the picture, and open space for her to store all her garage crap. This project was done back in May, but I am just now actually using my lumber jock’s account due to not having many projects done at that point. Currently I have a few, and will start uploading them regularly.
I pocket-hole’d the entire thing together and it’s basically all 2×2’ or 4×2’ squares so that I could use a 3/4” spacer and put in three drawers in each cavity. The rest of it kind of just fell together well. I also edge banded the whole thing (poorly as it was my first time banding), just to give it a little flair without deviating from the “fancy” look of the whole project.
I am NOT a finished carpenter, professional cabinet maker, or by any stretch of the word a “Professional woodworker”, but I enjoy building stuff and the jigs/fixtures I create for my shop are just that…...for my shop. They are usually ugly and have a few errors because I do most of my work at night and i’m sometimes tired. Short of cutting my hand off I make a few mathematical errors periodically.
That being said, I will post regularly’ish on here.
