Pine storage bed

This is the bed I made for our master bedroom last summer. Pine was from the local HD and another store in town…I bought a new dovetail jig and watched some videos. I love the jig. I had not even used a router before this and it was really easy to make the drawers.

I used the dovetail jig for hanging the tongue and groove pine on the headboard and sliding dovetail joints…no nails or screws in the headboard.

I wanted it to match the tongue and groove pine on the walls that have been up for about 15 years.

Finished with stain and poly.

Looks nice. May I ask which dovetail jig you have?

That’s a very functional bed! I like the color you chose as well.

that’s great looking bed frame.
I need to build a couple twin bed frames for my daughters. I’m thinking of using pine as well.

Very sweet! Is it king or queen? I am looking to basically do the same with king. What size did you make the drawers? And one last question do you still have the plans? I would be very grateful to any insight you might be able to share.
