They look great. I think the natural red oak will look good with the stiles/rails and FF a little darker.

I really like the woods together like that in a shop.
It really dresses the place up.

Wow, very pretty cabinet.
What method of joinery did you employ on your frame and panel construction? (dowels, biscuits, etc.)

hey Josh…..........I saw your Dad at the YMCA yesterday morning. He mentioned you were hang’in with the Jocks. Mentioned a few items in your projects page. Hope you da one!!!
Pretty nice work you started above….......I like the thought in selecing your stile and rails material. Grains matching, with your oak flares pointing up, straight ashe rails on the bottom supporting the knobs and panels. Its those little details.
Test the color on those ash stile and rails….....ash can finish real funky sometimes.
Oh….......by the way…......stop working your Dad so hard. He tells me he goes up to see you to rest and the next thing you 2 are tearing out a wall.

I agree about the color. Something light to help reflect light to keep the shop bright.
Nice job!

Nothing like nice cabinets in the shop. My friends don’t understand, but it makes everything so much nicer to work with and around.
Looking good, keep up the good work.

Tom, the face frames were done using “FF” biscuits. The doors tongue and groove.
Neil, i didn’t notice the “design elements” until you mentioned it :). I was too focused on making a box that was square. I have to work on thinking about the project as a whole, rather than just focusing on succesfully accomplishing something i haven’t done before. Oh, and dont let dad fool you, he lives for projects, especially if it involves “gutting” a room (or the whole house).

Shop cabinets? Heck, these would be a big improvement to a lot of kitchens I’ve seen!

Great cabinet Josh. I like the difference grains in the doors and panels. It makes each stand out on their own, but brings everything together also.

I’ll take a set as well—none of my cupboard doors/drawers shut properly
