Thw board is made from 1/2”Maple and I trimmed it with 3/4” redheart. The inlays are made from 1/4” yellowheart, 1/4” bubinga, 1/4” purpleheart, and 1/4” res striped box elder. The inlay banding is is made from maple with a black dye for the checkered effect.

I’m sorry I’m not familiar with that game, but you did a great job on the board! That checkered inlay came out awesome, really crisp.
Is it similar to Parcheesi? (sp?)

It is similar to parcheesi. You roll one dice and a 1 or 6 gets you out of your starting gate and you move around the board until you get all four marbles in to your home position.

Wow! Now I know what I can make for my mother-in-law in Texas! Her board is made of basic plywood… functional, but not attractive… she will LOVE if I make a new one and I hope I can make it look anywhere near as nice as yours. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Isn’t that game called ‘Trouble’ or something like that? Perhaps that is the commercial version. Nice board!

Thanks. My old one was also made of plywood. I decided to upgrade my board. I also have made a 6 player board as well.

I need to make at least one for my family, maybe two or three. Is there a plan set with the spacing dimensions? Thanks.

Thanks. I will be looking forward to seeing your plans. In the meantime, I will keep looking as well. Many years ago, I use to play with friends and family on two much simpler boards. Some of us are passed away now but I want to see if I can get my adult children to meet for some Wahoo gaming too.

I have a set of plans available for the board if interested.

Have your say...
