the drawers are held in with magnets which worked great, way better than i thought it would. this was one of my first projects i did years ago and it came out great. the girlfriend i had at the time loved it. have another post with more info about the same project if your interested…

Awesome!! I love the idea of the side drawer! Thanks for the pictures of the magnet system. I will definitely incorporate that idea into a box in the future. Well done.

yeah the magnet system worked amazingly well, once the drawers get within about an 1/8 inch them kind of “snap” shut and are held nice and snug but are easily pulled open, wish i had a video of how well they work because every time i use it i still cant believe how good it came out. had to call the now x-girlfriend to get these pics so you better thank me lol jk were still cool
