I posted some still photos of this one before, and now it’s appearing in the current—Fall 2015—issue of Scroll Saw Woodworking. If you’re wondering WHAT THE HECK ???, it’s a hand-cranked music box that plays “If I Only Had A Brain”. What else could it be? :-)

A number of LJ’s asked about a video with Frank strutting his stuff, so here’s the “director’s cut” ...

A little bit (actually, a lot) of agony went into pulling this one off, but making the video with my pal David Wakefield made it all worthwhile.

I’ve looked through your lamps and love them!
Just love toys and such that have moving parts.

You put fun into every piece. Good job.

Love this guy! He’d be my hero (if I had any brains at all) :-)

Nice. You should put all these in a book.

Loved it, and also the Dr. Frankenstein glove.

This project reminded me of the time when I was about 7 years old and I went to a movie theatre in the neighborhood alone to see Frankenstein with Boris Karloff. My bedroom, shared with my older brother had a walk in closet with a small hexagon shaped window in it that was back lighted by a street lamp. I could see that window with the light coming through it at night from my bed and I was afraid that Frankenstein was out there looking at me through that window. It terrorized me for years and my only hope was that if he got into the house that he would take my brother and not me. A win win situation in my mind.

Beautiful toy-maschine-lamp! Besides excellent engineering work, there are outstanding characters and colours on your projects.

Always a great inspiring project.
