This is my living room. We built the house in 1980. I was the contractor, did the cabinets and trim,
painting, ceramic tile, and plastic laminate. Wow, makes me tired all over thinking about it. The mantle is rough cedar (the beam is mitered 1 x material to look like a solid beam) The brackets are solid. The cabinets and trim are pine with lacquer finish. The ceiling beams are rough cedar. The special trim on the window is on all the doors and winndows in the room as well as other places in the house. The last picture is a doorway out of the kitchen.

Nice work, and good planning. I like the way details carry through from one piece to another. I’m impressed.

Kent a very nice house creation. So nice work there. I’m in the process of building my kitchen cabinets. My wife wants them done soon. But ! I’ve got a blog of the process that i’ve gone through so far. I just finsihed putting on 19 drawer fronts in the last week and haven’t posted them yet.
