For my first table I will show you a picnic table I created out of frustration. We could not find anything close to what we wanted in the local market. I created our table out of full demension cedar lumber.

I could have chose any type of lumber I wanted for my table. I chose cedar because of its ability to stand up to weather and the environment.

I love any custom picnic table, that is stylistically removed from the ubiquitous, mass-produced ones we all grea up with.

This one looks like it’ll stand up to the elements (and kids) for years and years to come. Very nice.

Nice bench. You should of entered it into the summer contest as an outdoor project.

Necessity is the mother of invention! Nice job, looks very solid. We have some at our local playground that are just horrible. I am thinking that I might need to do some guerrilla repair work…

I really like the look of this. Nice solid and clean lines.

So how did you do this without glue, nails, screws, etc.

Hi Leon

I have an email into Martin to remove it from that category. After I submitted it I realized it shouldn’t be there. Although it does have lots of different joints, I did also use wood screws for stability.

Tks for the compliments and sorry for the confusion.

Looks great!!! I have about a hundred red “cedar” logs to cut up on the mill. You have given me ideas for the use of it.

What did you finish it with????
