charger station

Project by PirateOfCatan posted 174 days ago 467 views 1 time favorited 7 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Today seemed like a good day for a bunch of little projects. The first turned out to be a charger station. Right now we have two 14.4v DeWalts and one 12v Lithium Ion Ridgid. There is enough room for the three chargers and the (currently) six batteries.

The 14.4s are stored top down to help keep dust out of them (with charger covers coming soon). You can see the battery template I used for spacing and marking the holes for the stems. The main hole is 1-1/2” and the bump out is 0-5/8” (those of you who use DeWalt batteries know what that is for). I rounded all the edges, even on the holes, with a 1/4” round over bit.

Now I need to find a home for the items displaced by the charging station.

Great idea. You just help solve my problem. I’ll be adding to my charging station soon. Thanks for the post.

Great job. I always like to see other people’s solutions to shop organization.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments.

The 12v Li ION now has a hole to be upside down in, just like its older brothers and sisters (the batteries marked in green are my wife’s and mine are marked in red). It was bugging me for it to not have a home. I did it at 8am today along with taping some card stock flaps over the chargers as MK I of dust covers. THEN I went and made coffee.
