My attempt on this project and really enjoyed putting it together. I used maple and bocote wood which started at 5” width and took some cutting to get the dimensions for first cutting. I used some metal braces for my pattern trace templates for both cutting patterns. Changed the spacing slightly on one of the boards to get a little different look. Want to make a few more of these but wanted to pass along my results.

Used my bandsaw with 1/2” blade it didn’t create any significant blade rips in the wood. I had to do very little sanding to make up the joints.

Looks good. I’ve done a few and they get a lot of comments. It’s a pretty quick project that is impressive.

I’ve never used Bocote wood but it does look nice. Might have to think on it.

Thanks for sharing
