Crypto – is the work of two Puzzle Artists, Kelly Snache and Robert Yarger. The basic idea is that one of us would build a puzzle box, ship it to the other and then that person would build a puzzle mechanism to prevent the user from accessing the first box. Not finished yet, the puzzle then get shipped back to the first person to build onto the previous design by locking the work of the last artist. And lastly, the puzzle get shipped to the second builder a second time for one more addition to the mayhem by locking the previous work yet one last time. There was no schedule and no design plan, nothing to do but dream up what to do next. Ended up being a ‘28 moves to open’ little wooden wonder. There were only two copies made, one being donated to The Lily Library while the other will be auctioned off at Baxterweb.com in the up coming weeks.

Kel,

When I saw this post I had to go and look at the rest of your projects! I love it! (I’ve watched the piano video several times already…) Thanks for sharing!

DUDE! What could you POSSIBLY do next time to “One up” this one? I mean, really… this one is already “100 UPPED” from the last one!

Wow! What a great brain teaser this one will be for whoever receives it.

And I’m guessing a video of the solution is gonna be impossible to get?? LOL

Hey Thanks Guys! I do enjoy stretching my mind a lil’ eh? Sorry, no videos. Robert Yarger had the last turn with them and he only made an instruction book. I have other colaborations out there with other artists, I will post them as they come in. Damn, this is just too much fun!
