This is my first piece of furniture. I’m pleasedwith the outcome, but even more pleased with the learning experience. The top is made from Black Limba, edge glued 3 pieces. The spalting made it easy to hide the joint. The frame is Wenge using mortise and tenon joinery. I finished it with 5 coats of tongue oil and buffed it out with paste wax. I think I’m off to make a companion piece for this, maybe a console table.

I love the dowel joinery, great proportions and the table top looks excellent.
