I made some bug houses for my 2 daughters.
They REALLY loved them.
This is a real easy one to build if you’ve got kids or grandkids.

This is so sweet! What kind of bugs do they catch?

Nothing yet, but since they are girly girls…. probably just roly polys (pill bugs). My youngest wants to catch butterflies.

Good idea. What did you use for the tops?

The top is some metal screen mesh like you would use for a screen door… I bought it from home depot or lowes. Just stapled with my air stapler into place. This has to be one of the quickest, easiest, most bang for the buck woodworking projects I have done yet.

Now that I know what it is, it looks that way in the pics to me. I thought it must be some kind of molded clear plastic before.

What a great project Alan. My daughter not only LOVES bugs, but she also likes to help me around the shop. I’m bookmarking this one to make with her soon. Thank you for the great idea.

Fun project. Just the kind of thing kids love and remember when they grow up.
