I had a client who wanted to have a TV cabinet built so that the screen rose up out of the top of the piece on a lift. I’d never installed that kind of hardware before and was curious to see if it was a real pain or not. Turns out it was easy with the brand that I chose. It ended up being a fun project and I decided to write an article about how I built it on my Furniture Blog. There’s a pretty full description of the process with lots of photos if you’re interested in reading it.

Nice work! I liked how you did the dovetails. I’ll have to bookmark that one for personal use.

Great looking TV cabinet! I like the concept of the lift—you can hide the TV when it’s not in use, and just enjoy a nice piece of furniture.
