Shaker Candle Stand

This is the candle stand that was done in FineWoodworking I built for the wife. Some of the dimensions got changed but overall it’s the same. Definitely a learning experience. First pic is the finished product. No. 2 is the dovetailed legs and post. The legs were done on the router but the post was cut by hand. Not the best job ever but they were fairly tight(pic 3). One coat of General Finishes Java Gel stain and I’m going to go back and put a coat of wax on it. Definitely had a lot of fun turning the post and sub-base on the lathe.

Nice work, pretty piece of craftsmanship. Shaker design, always a winner in my book. Those dovetailed legs aren’t going anywhere, plenty tight enough. Great job on this.
