Folding Desk Captain's Bed

Project by Chris Davis posted 158 days ago 696 views 2 times favorited 5 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is a captain’s bed that was completed in March 2005. This one I added a fold down desk on the footboard. How it works is a hinged work surface folds up and two little wings that are also on hinges fold out to support the top.

It has a flat headboard and 6 drawers on one side.

Here are some building pictures:

A great idea for limited space.

I really like this. A lot. My nephew is in need of a desk, but there’s no space in his room for one. This might be just what the Dr. ordered! Thanks!
