Cool, very cool. Being an archer I am particularly appreciative.

Very nice. I like the number of drawers and display unit on top. Some reason I think of a library catalog desk when I see it.

Beautifully done. How long have you been a collector of arrow heads?

You’re showing a timeline graduation from some simple functional furniture into some show pieces. All have been very nicely built and tasteful. This is really an exceptional piece. Can you comment on it’s construction, how the drawers are guided? Any comments on the joinery and drawer construction?
Thanks!

dont forget to go back and add “tags” for each…this way down the road when your projects “fall” off the front pages…people looking to make “bookshelves” or “buffets” or “hutch” will be able to search within the LJ website…great work!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is fantastic. Beautiful, functional, and a nice (dust free) place to show off art or in this case, artifacts. I could totally see this in my study (if I had one) I used to collect fossils, rocks and minerals – all sorts or “earth sciencey” things when I was a kid.

Nice work, I’ve been granted a fine collection of arrowheads and such, collected by my father and grandfather through the years. Yours is an attractive solution for convenient storage.

Very nice. I’m glad I caught it as it came around again with the page’s rotation function. Would you post the dimensions and some more details asked for above about the drawer guides etc.? I did something similar in a table-top version. But yours is clearly a step(s) above! Wonderful!

Thanks for all of the nice compliments. I have been collecting arrowheads for many years but not much in the last 5 years since i started woodworking. I wanted to build something to house some of my collection so i came up with this design. There was nothing like it that i found looking on the web. So i worked out the plan in my head and started building. The glass top was not originally in the plan, but as i was finishing i ran short on cherry and thought a glass top would show off the artifacts better. The drawer slides are homemade. They are 3/4” X 3/4” runners with dadoes cut in the drawer sides. I lined the drawers with felt and put dividers across the drawers to keep the arrowheads from sliding to the back everytime you open a drawer. I am at work now so i will post the deminsions later.

I missed this when originally posted but caught it today on “roll the dice” Very nice work, the fit and spacing of the drawers denotes real skill. I think I like the glass top even better.
