This is my first bandsaw project – what a fun tool to work with!

Inspired by this Wood Whisperer podcast – though my cellar box has only one deep container. I used three 4/4 mahogany boards glued together, cut out the body on a bandsaw, then removed the material from inside with feather drill bit and bowl router bit with chuck extension. The edge of the lid is eased with 1/4” round-over router bit. Finished with two coats of Danish oil.

It was fun – from my experience so far, mahogany was the most enjoyable wood to work with.
