Project Information

Once again I used the Rockler plans so I didn't have to research the specs and to assure that the hardware and mattress will fit. It is made from old maple flooring that I planed down to maximum thickness which is about 5/8" (kind of thin for 1/2" pickets). It all worked out pretty good. Most the clown fish are padauk, one is bloodwood, one is yellowheart, all with wenge eyes and the coral is purpleheart. All the fish are 4 individual pieces and inlayed by router.

I also made a coat rack out of my test piece.

Very nice looking crib. Is it from Rocklers plans "3-in-1 Transitional Crib Bed Plan"?

I haven't used one of there plans yet but I'm going to make the above 3-in-1 this summer for my son. Are there plans pretty good?

Yes Rich it is the 3-in-1 from Rockler. The plans were very easy to use. What I liked the most is that the gate hardware, plans and the mattress spring were all in one place. I used old maple flooring that I had, so there was a little extra labor. The pickets take a little time but in the end it was all worth it.
