Howdy all!

Recently I was commissioned to build a gun cabinet for some friends. They had seen a few things I had done and basically told me to do whatever I wanted to but they didn’t want it to look like a normal oak gun cabinet with cnc’d jungle cats and crap on it. So I built it from tiger maple because in my opinion its the best bang for your buck. The secondary wood is walnut (the drawers and plugs and gun turrets). Inside the top part of the cabinet I shaped two tree like structures that will hold 16 rifles and rotate on lazy susans. The bottom two drawers are made of walnut and the drawer bottom is flocked. I used blum blumotion glides for the drawers because they are hidden and work really nice. I finish I chose was festool’s hd oil.

Also pictured is the last rocker I completed. Its made from American walnut and tiger maple.

ps the cabinet is actually square. my photo skills are just sub par.

Like the ‘lazy susan’ design in the gun cabinet.

And I LOVE the Maloof rocker!

Does it lock?

Thanks everyone! And yes it does lock. A simple deadbolt in the left door and a flipper lock in the right. I’m big on simple hardware (that way it’s harder to mess up a nearly completed project).
