The frame is made from Purpleheart. The various wood surfaces are veneers from a veneer sample pack.

The pistol is a Colt Ace. This is a .22 Caliber version of the famous M1911 .45 Automatic that was the standard-issue side arm for the United States armed forces from 1911 to 1985,

I thought I recognized that gun. That is one of my favorite side arms.

The box looks great. Good choice of wood.

Keep up the great work.

Gotta love any caliber of Colt 1911.
Love the smell of sawdust and gun smoke.
