Sandpaper storage cabinet

I needed to build a storage box for all the sandpaper. I wanted to design a box that would allow a weight to flatten the sandpaper but still be easy to get the paper out. I waned it wall mounted using a French hook to mount it to the wall. This gave me a cabinet large enough for additional storage. The sandpaper fits in the drawer, which is designed to swing down allowing the weight to fall away from the paper. Though not planed if you only pull the drawer out part way you have an always ready writing surface.

Nice Cabinet. Great Execution on the design.

Would like more detail on the specifics of the lower drawer slide/hardware etc… How does the drawer stay in the closed position???

The drawer is held in by a dowel that runs in a groove. The drawer sit on a shelf that cut short of the end so it can rotate. The dowel has a flat side on it that keeps the lid vertical when the drawer rotates.

Super idea. Can you post a better picture of the drawer detail itself? I like that design and idea that it can be used as a writing drawer as well.
