Made some accessories (cole jaws & longs worth chuck) for my lathe along with 2 more carbide turning tools.
Still need to make some “grippers” for the cole jaws. The cole jaws were made from 1/2” micarta. Longworth chuck is about 14” diameter. My lathe is only a 12” lathe but with the gap bed I can install larger jaws. The two carbide turning tools both have round cutters ( 16mm & 18mm). I cut a 30 degree angle before drilling and tapping the hole. I saw similar tools on YouTube; the 30 degree angle is supposed to make the tool cut similar to a bowl gouge.

Well done (all 4) and I hope you will have a lot af profit from it.

I can,t see the benefit of the 30 dgr. angle. So I hope you will share the testing results with us.

Well done! And it looks like a nice restoration job on the lathe, too.

Brian; cole jaws made from micarta. Dutchy; the 30 degree angle is supposed to make a shear cut. Have not had a chance to try it yet. Gerry; older Delta lathe I purchased on Ebay a few years ago. It was in rough shape but it cleaned up nicely.
