Pintrest, we all know that name and it affects us all differently. Some, browse through looking for ideas, others like myself have ideas given to them through additions of the honeydew list. No matter the source when we all hear the name spoken we expect the sky to darken and lightning to blaze in the background.
This project, as basic as it is, was the first of many growth charts that will soon find their picture on LJ, so if you seek inspiration from this wait a few days for me to get the other pictures up on the other 6 I have made, and you will realize what I mean by bad habit.
This growth chart was requested by my wife, so since I was in the middle of converting my car port into a shop (not garage, those are for cars) I kept one of the cedar boards from the wall, beveled the sides with my hand plane, used the dremel to cut the numbers and dashes, filled with paint then sanded down smooth.
I will have to thank April Wilkerson, though at this point I don’t believe I have seen her videos, but she makes a awesome video on making these which on ruler #3 (when i finally saw her video) she gave me a tip which saved me about 4 hours of work, but I’ll get to that on a future post.
